This is my entry for "Picture This", a photo contest from Gardening Gone Wild for May. The subject is container plants and Steve Silk, reportedly a master at creating spectacular container gardens himself, is the judge. Wish me luck!
Hi Deb. I was wondering where you got your marbles from in Austin. My little folks are eager to fill up my Texas holey rocks up with them. Great shot, and good luck in the competition. ESP. http://east-side-patch.livejournal.com/
Wow - thanks for all the good wishes. I have to tell you though, I am one of those folks who never wins contests. That's OK however. I am optimistic EVERY time. (Don't anybody look up the definition of "crazy" just now. Please.) The marbles came from Goodwill but I sent you an email with other places I've found them, ESP. I've had a weak spot for marbles since I was little. Wish I'd kept them all over the years. Yikes. I'm going to stop now before I set myself up for more jokes. Thanks for dropping by folks!
Wow- thanks Iris. I'll consider it my consolation prize for losing my agapanthus out front to the voracious deer. They just finished off a batch of cannas as well. They are really REALLY hungry right now apparently. : )
I love it! Good luck! Yours is much better than the one I was considering entering. Go Texas Deb!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being runner-up in the photo contest! Although the winning photo is nice, it's a little busy for my taste, and I like yours better.
